Glens Falls Symphony Orchestra • “America, Land of Transformation.” Experience Americana with music, film and history. Charles Ives’ Third Symphony, for which he won the Pulitzer Prize, is his most nostalgic and melodic. Ned Rorem’s Pilgrims features the sound of strings in a beautiful, bittersweet reflection on pioneer life. Then Aaron Copland’s musical score to the documentary film, The City, will be performed. The film will be screened during the performance.
